National tariff commission issued final determination in the appeal against import of Parafin Wax. A final duty was imposed against such imports.
The importers approached our law for filing of appeal as as well as requiring an interim relief. Our law firm filed appeals as well as got the interim relief for our clients.
The appeal was taken up by the Tribunal for hearing. At the very outset question of jurisdiction on the basis of coram of the tribunal was raised. However, it was the instructions of the tribunal to proceed with the hearing.
Upon instructions of our clients, our law firm approached the honourable Islamabad High Court to instruct the tribunal to decide the question of jurisdiction before proceeding in the matter.

The honourable Islamabad High Court took cognizance of the matter by accepting the petition and granting a Stay.
The tribunal while implementing the orders of the Honourable Islamabad High Court and upon the request filed by our law firm has adjourned the appeal.
